Service Description

Highlighting is changing the dimension of your hair by coloring selected strands of hair that have been sliced or woven. This can be achieved by lightning or darkening (aka low lighting) select strands. Partial Highlighting is lightning or darkening select strands in a select area of the head, usually the top and crown. Up to 2 colors are included however, an up charge may be assessed if extra coloring is needed for hair that is excessively long or thick. There are many highlighting techniques that are used for a specific outcome. Some of the trending techniques are foilyage, balayage, babylights, microlights, herringbone, scandilights, teasylights, and money pieces, to name a few. These techniques may be used with traditional highlighting as needed or all on their own depending on what your needs are. Pictures are always a great resource when you explaining to your stylist what your expectations are. A process called toning may be necessary to remove unwanted tones or add tonal value to lightened or highlighted hair. Your stylist will consult with you to decide if toning is necessary to achieve your hair color goals. An up-charge from $20-$40 will be added to your final bill.
